March 2019: Welcome to visiting graduate student, Murong Zhang! Murong is visiting the Rasmussen group for 6 months and will work on research related to low-level jets and MCSs in southern China.

February 2019: The Prediction of Rainfall Extremes in the Pacific (PRECIP) field campaign is funded!! The Rasmussen group will participate in the experiment in May-August 2020.

November-December 2018: The Rasmussen group participated in the RELAMPAGO field campaign in Cordoba, Argentina! Zach Bruick, Jeremiah Piersante, and Kristen Rasmussen were in Argentina to collect observations on the most intense thunderstorms in the world.

June 2018: Kristen Rasmussen is invited to join the AMS Student and Early Career Task Force.

June 2018: Zach Bruick wins multiple awards as part of the WxChallenge competition, including (1) Year Awards: (a) Runner Up, Graduate Student Division (and 9th overall), and (b) Member of season and Tournament Championship Team, and (2) City Awards: (a) Winner, Graduate Student Division, City 5 - Cleveland, Ohio, and (b) Runner Up, Graduate Student Division, City 9 - Binghampton, New York.
